THE POTLUCK

A shared love of roots music is the common thread with this diverse RVA collective's Révéler residency.

Featuring top names from Richmond’s vast pool of musical talent, THE POTLUCK is a unique musical experience happening at Reveler every Tuesday in February, culminating with a final performance on Mardis Gras, Tuesday, March 4th. As the name implies, each show will be a musical charcuterie showcasing original material from each player, along with unexpected covers.

Each collaborator being an accomplished player/singer/songwriter in his own right, this loose association of longtime friends will feature Steve Bassett on Hammond B3 organ, Daniel Clarke on piano, Stewart Myers on bass, Dusty Ray Simmons on drums and Willie Williams on guitar. Their collective resume is impressive, with these cats having recorded and/or toured with Jason Mraz, KD Lang, The War On Drugs, Mandy Moore, Shawn Colvin, Liz Phair, Delbert McClinton, Bonnie Bramlett, Elliott Randall, Robbin Thompson, Agents of Good Roots, Cris Jacobs Band, Karl Denson, DJ Williams, Dickey Betts’ Great Southern, Wayne Henderson, Lee Roy Parnell, and many more.

Elements of rock, pop, country, Motown, blues, funk, jazz and soul are in the mix, but don’t bother trying to put a label on it. THE POTLUCK is a boundary-blurring, genre-defying, multigenerational cross pollination; a celebration of all forms of American music. Expect an authentic musical experience and look for SURPRISE RVA GUEST ARTISTS to share the stage each week!

With only 100 seats, shows at Révéler are intimate and immersive. A romantic venue with exquisite sound and dreamy vibes, Révéler offers a unique selection of cocktails, wines, beers, bubbles, and non-alcoholic beverages. Our kitchen delivers small plates crafted with care.
