Blacksburg, Virginia-based retro funk ensemble makes a Saturday afternoon extra groovy.

Ripejive is a funkified five-piece groove unit delivering sounds that raise vibes and soothe souls. Blending retro and modern funk sensibilities, they balance vocal-driven anthems and adventurous instrumental compositions. Pocket rhythms laced with Latin spice are infused with incendiary guitar, soaring saxophone, and colorful keys to deliver a sumptuous sound that always brings a party.

Hailing from Southwest Virginia, Ripejive has been performing for the past decade and is currently recording new material for a full-length album and hitting the road. Notable performances have included direct support for Ghost Note, Funk You, and Melvin Seals and JGB, and upcoming shows include Virginia’s Floydfest.
